To enjoy raclette in the traditional way: take deliciously ripened cheese, melted from the block and spread on baguette, potatoes or meat. For this purpose, the cheese is clamped directly in the cheese carrier and positioned under the 1000-watt heating element. By adjusting the height you can easily determine how quickly the cheese obtains a creamy consistency. The cheese carrier can also be swiveled sideways and tilted horizontally to distribute the cheese easily and comfortably on the plate. The heat output can also be adjusted via the built-in thermostat switch: if you prefer your cheese darker, just set the temperature higher.
In addition to the traditional cheese raclette, the Appenzell Peak also offers the option of using a grill area at the top of the appliance. Here you can easily grill meat or vegetables, which go perfectly with melted cheese.
